In every regional POP, each circuit is connected to a different Juniper M7i router. A single router can provide continuous unaffected service. Therefore we can continue to operate unaffected by the total loss of a router and/or circuit without issue.
In addition each POP has a redundant UPS system. This means we have two independent UPS's feeding the equipment, so should either UPS fail (or be taken out of service for maintenance) your connectivity will not be affected.
London has significant duplication of connectivity spread over 4x Juniper M7i routers and a total of six 7200 series routers in five different buildings connected by dedicated dark fibre.
