So how do we know when a server has failed? To be honest the phone call from you would be our first alert, provided of course that you have noticed the failure yourself.
However, we can be a little smarter than that by monitoring your server proactively. If you purchase Service Monitoring we'll request a response from your server or specific service every 15 minutes to check it is happy and operational.
Should the system receive a failure notice (24/7/365) an email is triggered to warn you. You can then attempt to reboot the server in your control panel, or call support if required.
